We are officially full steam ahead in the 2026 NFL season, already entering Week 6 with less than a month to go before the NFL trade deadline.

Needless to say, these next 3-4 weeks will be absolutely pivotal.

The best and worst teams around the league are already starting to reveal themselves, but this season has been just as competitive (and muddy) as we expected it might be. What surprises could be in store for Week 6?

Let's make our picks and score predictions for every game on the schedule, starting with a matchup on Thursday night between the two teams that earned the #1 seed in each conference just last season.

Teams on a BYE in Week 6: Bengals, Lions, Dolphins, Vikings

Seattle Seahawks (3-2) @ Denver Broncos (3-2)

Thursday, October 15, 8:15 PM ET

The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks both went 14-3 last season, and one of them is already going to have three losses by the end of the night on Thursday.

Wild times we’re living in, football fans.

Both the Broncos and Seahawks have aspirations of contending for the Super Bowl this season, with the Seahawks obviously on a quest to repeat as champs. But through the first five games, they’re both dealing with some similar issues.

The primary issue facing both of these teams at the moment is that there are teams at the top of the AFC West and NFC West with unblemished records. The Chiefs and 49ers have looked outstanding so far this season, and the Broncos have already lost to the Chiefs, while the Seahawks just lost to the Niners.

Beyond having an undefeated team in their divisions, the Broncos and Seahawks are struggling offensively, albeit in very different ways.

Seattle has 8 giveaways offensively over their last three games, but they have still managed to average 30 points per game thanks to 7 takeaways by the defense. Similarly, the Broncos’ offense has been downright inept at times, benefiting from 5 takeaways by the defense over the last 3 games.

Considering how bad the Denver offense and quarterback Bo Nix have been so far this season, it’s not a shocker that the Seahawks are early 3-point favorites on the road. The remedy for a struggling Denver offense probably isn’t a date with the Mike Macdonald defense on a short week, but this team has consistently surprised us.

This game feels like an early toss-up.

Prediction: Broncos win 24-23
