Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have kept up their standard of winning 9 or 10 games and going one-and-done in the playoffs, and it's quite impressive that it's gone on this long. In 2025, the Steelers were one made field goal away from finishing 9-8 and missing the playoffs, and I am not sure people fully realize just how lucky they got there.
Furthermore, Aaron Rodgers, who was average, at best last year, is another year older and is likely going to regress. The roster doesn't overwhelm you at any position, and this team simply does not do anything particularly well.
And if you add that all in with a new coaching staff, you get a team with a limited ceiling. Yes, Pittsburgh is going to win some games, as they've always done that, but the playoffs just aren't going to happen.
Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals are stuck in the best division in the NFL and might also be the worst team in the league. It's hard to believe just how bad of a situation the Cardinals are in, but it's real. Arizona could legitimately become the first winless team in the 17-game era, as they sport a bottom-5 roster and bottom-3 quarterback room, while also having a new coaching staff.
The bright side might be the 2027 NFL Draft and the potential to land a franchise quarterback, but even that isn't guaranteed.
New York Giants
Hiring John Harbaugh was a good move, but this franchise has been the epitome of dysfunction for years. The roster is fine but still needing an influx of talent, and second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart is not guaranteed to play better and take a leap in year two. While Harbaugh is ultimately going to be a good thing for this franchise, I believe this is a team that'll need a year to truly get going. Harbaugh is going to bring stability to the franchise, and the Giants will begin winning games they usually didn't in prior years, but the NFC is flat-out loaded, and this team is simply not yet ready to climb that mountain.
