Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions, October 25th

Another North division matchup in Week 7, the Green Bay Packers play the Detroit Lions in one of the more 'traditional' rivalries in the NFL. The Packers and Lions both boast very good, perhaps elite QBs, and head coaches near the top of their game.

The Packers have already dealt with a ton of injuries this year but are somehow managing to dig their way out of it. They're able to get running back Josh Jacobs back this week, and the defense is playing a pretty aggressive style of football with Jonathan Gannon.

Jordan Love is again having another insane season, and while the Packers again might not come off as a legitimate Super Bowl contender, another trip to the playoffs feels likely.

As for the Lions, despite the defense being among the worst in football, this team still feels like a playoff squad, as they had won 27 regular season games across the 2023 and 2024 season and were 7-4 at one point in 2025.

Detroit fell out of the playoff race last year, but with how stable this franchise has gotten with this current regime, it's going to come as more of a shock if they don't get into the postseason this year, especially with how efficient Jared Goff has been thus far.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Seattle Seahawks, October 25th

Could this be a Super Bowl preview? For the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks, their Sunday Night Football showdown in Week 7 is going to be a major one for both teams. The Chiefs are 5-0 on the season and are getting MVP-caliber play from running back Kenneth Walker III. Walker obviously began his career with the Seahawks and just helped them win the Super Bowl.

And while the Chiefs are a flawed team, they've also been to the playoffs and the Super Bowl with ease in the Patrick Mahomes era, and that was without anything close to the run game they currently have. The Chiefs simply might ride Walker until they can't.

The Seahawks are definitely regressing from last year, but this team still sports one of the deepest defenses in the NFL, and the running back room is slowly getting healthier. Seattle's inability to consistently run the ball has been a major reason for the regression, but with Zach Charbonnet nearing a return and Jadarian Price surely not far behind, the Seahawks might be able to re-create what they had out of the backfield last year here down the stretch.

Both Seattle and Kansas City each have valid reasons as to why they could see each other again in February.
