The 2026 NFL Trade Deadline in on November 10th this year, which follows Week 9 action. At the moment, there aren't a ton of legitimate, concrete reports out there about who could get dealt and to where, but common sense should give us an idea of which teams will be buyers and which will be sellers.
And seeing as we are about three weeks away from the deadline, and most teams have six games play, there might not be a ton of variation in terms of the buyer and seller market. With that said, we're going to cook up five potential trade deadline moves that we believe would shakeup the league.
Let's dive into those moves here.
Outling five potential trade deadline moves that would shake the NFL up in a big way
EDGE Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears
It feels like the Chicago Bears have had pass-rushing issues for years now. Their leading sack-master this year is Austin Booker, who has four sacks. Kyler Gordon, who has played one game this year, is second on the team with three sacks.
The Bears defense has definitely played better this year, but you could still argue that adding another competent body along the defensive line would be a good idea. Khalil Mack does have a rather successful history with the Bears, as he played for the team from 2018-2021, amassing 36 sacks, 35 tackles for loss, and 52 quarterback hits during those four seasons.
Mack has a trio of sacks and six QB hits this year, so he's still a serviceable player despite being 35 years old. While Mack isn't close to the player he once was, getting someone like him in the building would also surely show the rest of the players that the team is trying to make the most of the 2026 season.
