We're officially underway with Week 5 of the 2026 NFL Season, and in our 'guaranteed to win' series, we're also off to a rocky start, as we had predicted a win for the Dallas Cowboys, but the Cowboys played a downright horrible game and lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
So, we definitely need to rebound here. Fortunately, there are some other matchups that feel easy-ish to predict, and we can still carve out a good performance in our guaranteed to win/lose weekly series this week.
After talking about teams we believe are guaranteed to win, let's talk about some teams we believe are guaranteed to lose.
These three teams have no chance at winning in Week 5
Tennessee Titans (vs. Houston Texans)
What's actually funny here is that it is possible that both Tennessee and Houston each do not win in Week 5. What if they tie???
In all seriousness, the Titans and Texans are not equal 0-4 teams. To be frank, Houston is much, much better than their record indicates. The roster is among the most talented in the NFL, and even after an 0-3 start last year, Houston found a way to way to finish 12-5.
They have dealt with slow starts in the CJ Stroud-DeMeco Ryans era before, and this could simply be one of those instances. The Titans, on the other hand, are in year one of the Robert Saleh era, and while the defensive returns are not bad, the offense is just indefensibly bad.
We could be approaching a scenario where Cam Ward might be trending toward 'bust' status, and while it's still early in his NFL career, there hasn't been much growth from Ward. While no one is going to be seated and watching this game with a ton of excitement, Houston is better across the board and will be able to win this one.
As for the Titans, they will fall to 0-5 on the season, and perhaps at that point, some tougher conversations will need to be had.
