Indianapolis Colts (@ Minnesota Vikings)
The Indianapolis Colts are spiraling. The team fired long-time General Manager Chris Ballard after an ugly loss to the Tennessee Titans at home, and it feels like we could be approaching a time where the wheels really fall off.
The Colts have regressed across the board this season, which includes quarterback Daniel Jones, who has mostly been a bad, forgettable quarterback since entering the NFL back in 2019. Indy just does not do much of anything well right now, and all they have to do is travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings, who just so happen to be undefeated.
The Vikings defense is flat-out dominant, and the offense should continue to look better as Kyler Murray gets more starts under his belt. If the Colts excelled at something in particular, I would say they'd have a chance, but that's the issue.
The Colts won't be able to find much of an advantage anywhere and are likely looking at a blowout.
New York Giants (@ Houston Texans)
The New York Giants will be starting JJ McCarthy in Week 7 against a Houston Texans team that has now won two games in a row after an ugly 0-4 start. CJ Stroud has been playing out of his mind this year, and you figure that the defense is going to get sorted out at some point. With McCarthy's struggles in the NFL, it's not a stretch to think that he'll have a rough outing against a defense that has been among the best in the NFL for multiple years now.
McCarthy is still an inexperienced player and just doesn't really threaten a defense with much of anything, and, to be honest, his potential aggression in pushing the ball down the field could come back to bite him.
While the Giants do seem to be a frisky team, they're trending in the wrong direction and don't bring anything of note into Houston that would make you think they could pull off some sort of upset. The Texans will easily take care of business at home in Week 7.
