You never want to guarantee anything in the NFL, but that won't stop us! Now that we're in Week 9, we're approaching some opportunities for drama, as the NFL Trade Deadline is near, and with it being on November 10th, we're inching closer and closer.
And, fortunately for these four teams, they have wins coming their way. Obviously, these teams won't just walk into the game and expect to win, but it's pretty clear that they will, perhaps rather easily.
Let's dive into four teams we believe are guaranteed to win in Week 9 of the 2026 NFL Season.
These 4 teams are guaranteed to win when Week 9 action rolls around
Kansas City Chiefs (vs. New York Jets)
The Kansas City Chiefs had an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter over the Denver Broncos in Week 8 and managed to lose. For years, that was a game that most of us expected the Chiefs to close out, as they had done that for years, but the magic might be running out. The Chiefs do have some personnel issues on offense, but this team is still 5-2 and right in the mix, and they surely want to erase that Week 8 loss from memory.
There might not be a better matchup for that to happen than returning home to face the New York Jets, a team that hasn't made any sort of notable strides under second-year head coach Aaron Glenn. Quarterback Geno Smith has been really good this year, and the Jets do have comparable talent to the Chiefs, but Kansas City is very clearly a tier or two above New York, and the Jets seem to get weaker as the game gets more intense.
Chiefs win this one by double digits.
Detroit Lions (@ Miami Dolphins)
This game might genuinely be over by the end of the first quarter. The Miami Dolphins are going to continue to struggle all year due to the team not having nearly enough talent and being in year one of a rebuild. The Detroit Lions come into this game boasting one of the very best offenses in football. Jared Goff might just be the MVP of the league and has an incredible matchup against a Miami defense that has already allowed16 passing touchdowns.
The Lions could flirt with 50 points on Sunday.
