There are a good number of franchise quarterbacks in the NFL right now, but there aren't many quarterbacks teams can truly win a Super Bowl with. To be honest, teams probably need to be a bit more aggressive with finding an upgrade at the most important position in sports.
And as the 2026 NFL Season approaches, it's clear which teams have some flat-out horrendous quarterback situations, and some of them are so bad that the entire room could look different following the season.

Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals could end up being the worst team in the NFL, but at the very least, they should be a bottom-5 team in the sport. There should be a plenty deep enough first-round quarterback class in the 2027 NFL Draft for Arizona to snag one of those players, and if they do finish with a top pick, it could be for Arch Manning, for example.
Jacoby Brissett figures to at least start the season, but he's also a free agent following 2026, so there is bound to be some major change coming.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It doesn't appear like Baker Mayfield is going to receive a contract extension, so if not, he'll hit the free agency market in 2027, and while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been a solid team in the Mayfield era, they're not close to being a Super Bowl contender, and they also could have a coach closer to being on his way out than not in Todd Bowles.
Unless something radical changes this year, it should be more of the same from Tampa, which could end up yielding some major change following the season.
