Arizona Cardinals (@ San Francisco 49ers)

The Arizona Cardinals were fun for a week. After upsetting the Chargers in Los Angeles, they lost in blowout fashion at home to Seattle, and what we saw transpire on the field in Week 2 is a much more accurate representation of this team for the 2026 season.

While there is some fun offensive talent, this team isn't close to competing. The defense needs some major reinforcements, and the QB position is, well, led by Jacoby Brissett, who is nothing more than a high-end backup.

And while the San Francisco 49ers are not without their own flaws, they are 2-0 to begin the season and have two blowout wins. QB Brock Purdy has been playing at an MVP level thus far, and I am not sure this doesn't continue in Week 3.

If a backup QB in Lock can light up the Cardinals, why can't a top-12 QB in Purdy do the same? This game should be out of reach by halftime for the Cardinals, who could be heading toward a long losing streak in 2016.

Chicago Bears (vs. Philadelphia Eagles)

The Chicago Bears might already be down to their third-string QB, as Case Keenum could start with Caleb Williams hurt and Tyson Bagent in the concussion protocol. We've been through two weeks, and the Bears are trending toward starting their QB3.

The last time Keenum started more than two games in a season was all the way back in 2019, so that's where we are with the Bears QB situation right now. The Philadelphia Eagles don't really appear to be a juggernaut, but they are surely going to beat a team starting their third-string passer.

Chicago's defense has been an issue for a while now, so Philly should not have a problem putting points on the board, and the Eagles coming into this game with the QB advantage is pretty self-explanatory.

The Bears winning this game would honestly go down as one of the biggest upsets of the season, but it won't happen. Philadelphia is too battle-tested to let this type of game slip away. The good news for the Bears, though, is that Williams' injury does not appear to be nearly as serious as it seemed to be right as it happened.

The long-term viability of this team for 2026 likely does not change even if Williams misses two games for example. For the time being, though, Chicago is having to dip into their QB reserves, and it'll end up being a Week 3 loss.
