A handful of teams in the NFL have easier opponents in Week 6, and it's shaping up to be a guaranteed win for them. Some lopsided matchups in Week 6 leave us wondering what could go wrong. Trap games in the NFL absolutely exist, but they are less common than teams simply taking care of business.
One of the more obvious trap games this year was the LA Chargers losing to the New York Giants in the first start of the Jaxson Dart era, and because the NFL is crazy, the Giants proceeded to lose to the New Orleans Saints in the following game. Truly, anything can happen on any given Sunday.
However, these five teams are very likely going to take care of business in Week 6 and have a guaranteed win on their schedule.
These teams have a win on the way in Week 6!
Philadelphia Eagles (@ New York Giants)
The Eagles lost a stinker of a game to the Denver Broncos, and one of these losses was coming for the Birds. Now 4-1 on the season, Philly and the New York Giants face off on Thursday Night Football in a short week, and while the Eagles are flawed, the Giants are more flawed.
Vic Fangio's defense is going to run circles around Jaxson Dart and the offense, and it would not shock me if the Giants didn't score a single point.
Denver Broncos (@ New York Jets, London)
After an emotional win over the Eagles, the Denver Broncos face the New York Jets in London, the worst team in the NFL. The Jets have not forced a turnover and have allowed 11 touchdown passes, so this could be a huge game for the Broncos' offense. Furthermore, the Jets' offense has predictably been bad this year with Justin Fields at QB.
If you remove the 'garbage time' stats that Fields and the offense has racked up when the game is out of reach, the Jets would actually look a lot worse than they already do.
