With Week 7 in the books for the AFC, we'll take a deeper dive into the playoff picture right now, as it's really beginning to heat up. Even in the NFC, this league appears to be wide open, as there is just one unbeaten team left, and even that squad has some concerns.

There are no more unbeaten teams left in the AFC after the Kansas City Chiefs blowout loss on Sunday Night Football. It may sound cliche, but the league is really up for grabs this year, and there does not appear to be a clear-cut Super Bowl favorite.

Let's dive into the AFC Playoff Picture more here with Week 7 in the books.

Wild Card Teams

7. Cincinnati Bengals (4-2)

Sitting in the final spot, the Cincinnati Bengals could coast to 10-12 wins this year if the defense is simply average - it doesn't need to be a top-tier unit, nor is it right now, but just getting into the playoffs is something that needs to happen for this franchise.

6. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2)

Perhaps the most underwhelming team currently in a playoff spot, the Pittsburgh Steelers are 5-2 and do not do a single thing well. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is just a guy at this point, and I am not sure this roster is good enough to keep pace with the other playoff teams in the conference right now, either.

5. Denver Broncos (5-2)

With a win in Week 7 and a loss by Kansas City, the Denver Broncos are now just a half game back of the Chiefs for the AFC West lead. Having won the division in the 2025 NFL Season, the Broncos are well-positioned to win the division again, as the hardest part of their schedule is done and over with, but the same cannot be said for the Chiefs and their schedule.

Denver is now also 5-2 for the second year in a row and are turning into one of the most consistently great teams in the league.
