2. Tennessee Titans

I almost put the Tennessee Titans last year, as they are significantly more talented than Miami and certainly had higher expectations with a second-year, first overall pick QB. However, it's been anything but meeting expectations. Not only is there a chance that Cam Ward is a flat-out bust, but there is also a chance that this was the wrong coaching staff, as well.

The Titans did get a bit aggressive this past offseason in trying to improve the defense, and they also made strides at wide receiver, adding Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson. All in all, the Titans did what they should have done this offseason, but they're now again closer to needing to blow it up again instead of making a push.

I am not sure anyone on that team isn't on the hot seat at this point, and if you told me the Titans had a new head coach and starting QB in 2027, I would not be surprised.

1. Los Angeles Chargers

Arguably the most disappointing team in football this year, the Los Angeles Chargers came into the 2026 season with, perhaps, the highest expectations of any year in the Justin Herbert era. Not only was the roster vastly overrated to begin with, but the injuries have piled up, and it's clear that the Mike McDaniel hire was the wrong move.

It's a struggle to see where the Chargers win their first game, as their next four games are against Kansas City off their bye, Los Angeles, Houston, and Baltimore. The Chargers may genuinely begin the year 0-9.

Zero and nine!

This franchise may need truly blow things up and start fresh, but they do still have the best QB and head coach of the trio of winless teams, which is at least something. If you put Herbert and Jim Harbaugh on another more stable team, they'd certainly not be 0-5, but that doesn't mean they don't shoulder some of the blame here.
