4. Caleb Williams
I almost didn't rank Caleb Williams this high, but we began to see just how good he could be during the 2026 season, as the Chicago Bears did a total 180 from the prior season, won 11 games and captured the NFC North title.
Williams became a master in late-game situations and has this bizarrely awesome play-making ability. He does get a bit erratic with his throws sometimes, but accuracy is something that can absolutely be coached.
With the strides that Williams took in year two, the ceiling is a lot higher for 2026 than it was before the 2025 season began, and he's another QB on this ranking who was also largely dubbed a generational player.
3. Drake Maye
Finishing second in the MVP voting, Drake Maye enjoyed an insanely prolific season and started in the Super Bowl for the New England Patriots. While his play against tougher opponents was largely forgettable, his great play significantly outweighed his bad play.
He also does check all the boxes - the arm, physique, and athleticism are all top-tier. He does fit into that Josh Allen/Herbert style of play of sometimes being a bit overwhelming and too big to contain at times.
Maye's third season in the league could be a repeat of his 2025 season given he was playing well from within the pocket last year, which is a huge indicator that 2026 will be great.
2. Patrick Mahomes
An all-time great, Patrick Mahomes lands at No. 2 in our power rankings. His major knee injury does make you question, perhaps just a little bit, if Mahomes can return to his early-career form, and his passing production has taken a hit the past few seasons.
With that said, Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have won three Super Bowls since the 2019 season. He's a two-time MVP and a slam-dunk Hall of Famer, but he's not No. 1 in our list, as our top QB is someone that plays like he was built in a lab.
1. Josh Allen
Maybe it's cliche, but if you could built a franchise QB in the lab, Allen would be the closest active QB in the league who that lab-built player would look like. The one thing that you could realistically hold against Allen are the years of playoff heartbreaks, but he already has eight playoff wins, and how many of those insane losses were truly his fault?
Buffalo has been to the playoffs and won double-digit games each year since 2019, and it's unquestionably primarily due to Allen, who tops our rankings.
