10. Minnesota Vikings (4-0)

The Minnesota Vikings are 4-0. OK.

I just really do not know what to do with this team. They have not lost, but I am far from sold on the offense. Defensively, this team might be the best unit in the NFL. Yes, the Vikings played the Dolphins this week, but holding anyone to 10 points is a win in the NFL.

Kyler Murray did have an encouraging game through the air if nothing else, and that could lead to something more as the year goes on. Murray had 247 yards on 27/37 passing. Justin Jefferson was not playiong in this game, either.

The running game was also solid in this one, and while it may not feel like this team should be 4-0, it proves that Kevin O’Connell is one heck of a head coach, and if the offense can get humming in the coming weeks, the undefeated Vikings won’t lose.

Brian Flores is an elite defensive coordinator, so you really won’t have to ask much from the offense. Good for the Vikings - this is a good football team, but I am not quite ready to put them in that truly great tier yet, but things can change.

9. Las Vegas Raiders (4-0)

The Las Vegas Raiders are a real, legitimate football team folks. Now 3-1 on the season, the Raiders dropped a fun game to Kansas City. Kirk Cousins had a solid game through the air, throwing for 365 yards and two touchdowns on 31/52 passing.

The Raiders aren’t going to make a deep playoff run or anything, but they feel like every bit of a 9-8 or 10-7 football team right now when it’s all said and done. Cousins is playing some good football, and the duo of Ashton Jeanty and Brock Bowers is as good as any in the NFL.

A loss is a loss, and they’re certainly not pleased, but being able to hang with the Chiefs is something worth talking about. First-year head coach Klint Kubiak could be an early frontrunner for the Coach of the Year award as well.

The years of dysfunction in Las Vegas/Oakland appear to be over. Yes, it’s only been four games, but the coaching with this team is in a good spot, and that type of thing doesn’t disappear or go away all of a sudden.
