26. New York Jets (1-3)
This was a horrific disaster for the New York Jets in Week 4. Now losers of three in a row, the Jets feel like the same old Jets that we’ve been accustomed to seeing for years. Chicago’s defense just absolutely flattened this team. Geno Smith tossed just eight completions on 19 attempts for a measly 119 yards.
The Jets had just 157 total yards of play. Bears’ running back Kyle Monangai had 146 yards on the ground alone. While the team wasn’t necessarily trying to win a ton of games this year, you definitely would have expected somewhat of a less awful loss considering the Bears did not have Caleb Williams in this one.
New York has a major coaching problem, and I am not sure it’s trending toward Aaron Glenn retaining his job in 2027. For what it’s worth, the Jets do have three first-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, so in that regard, there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
25. Arizona Cardinals (1-3)
We may be approaching a period of time with the Arizona Cardinals where a QB change is needed. The Cardinals now drop to 1-3 on the season after a sloppy loss to the Giants. The team did score 14 points in the first quarter but only managed 10 the rest of the way, including a healthy 0 in the fourth quarter.
Jacoby Brissett tossed three interceptions and only managed 166 yards on 21 completions. The Cardinals do have some slick talent on offense, but nothing of sorts has come together for this team. In what is clearly a rebuilding year as well, it really does not hurt for the coaching staff to see what they have in rookie Carson Beck.
Brissett is fine as a backup option, but I am not sure four games is a small sample size, meaning the Cardinals should have seen all they need to see. Arizona will continue to rank low in our power rankings unless something radical changes here in the coming weeks.
