14. Cleveland Browns (4-2)
Ah, yes, the Cleveland Browns are first in the AFC North, just like we all predicted. The Browns were able to beat Baltimore thanks to a walk-off field goal. It was a 13-10 game and a typical AFC North ugly-fest.
The Browns are now 4-2 through six games, and it is honestly hard to figure out just how good this team is. It’s clear that the Browns aren’t bad by any means - they play with an edge and are clearly bought into what the coaching staff is doing.
With that being said, the Browns recently lost to the Jets and did need a walk-off field goal to beat a team starting a backup QB. I guess as we get later into the season, we’ll really begin to see just how good the Browns can be, but for now, Cleveland is a formidable bunch and does appear to be good enough to hang with most teams.
You really just have to give this team a lot of credit. Many of their younger players are stepping up, and it’s certainly a group that can be good beyond 2026 given how much younger talent is present on the roster.
Cleveland is slowly rising in our power rankings.
13. Las Vegas Raiders (3-3)
The Las Vegas Raiders are now losers of three games in a row after a 3-3 start, but this team does feel like as dangerous a 3-3 team as you can get in today’s NFL. Kirk Cousins went 23/41 for 313 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
Tre Tucker added 97 yards and two touchdowns. The Raiders actually mounted a bit of a comeback as this game wound down, but it simply was not enough, and that’s OK! JJ Watt, during the broadcast, mentioned how this could be a sort of moral victory, and I do not disagree.
Not many people had high hopes for the Raiders this year, especially with someone in Cousins who many thought was washed up starting at QB.
Being 3-3 and having shown what they have shown is worth celebrating, even if this year ends up being about getting Fernando Mendoza ready for 2027 and beyond.
The Raiders will absolutely win more games this year and could hang around in the AFC playoff race, too.
