4. New Orleans Saints, 1-2
The New Orleans Saints are a successful two-point conversion against Detroit away from being 2-1, so that's worth mentioning. Second-year QB Tyler Shough looks rather awesome, and the Saints are playing with an edge and grit that just wasn't present last year.
While the Saints aren't quite ready to truly compete in terms of making a deep playoff run, they're good enough to win the NFC South this year, and I struggle to see how Shough isn't the best QB in the division right now.
New Orleans is going to stack some wins at some point this year and do have enough talent to go 9-8 or 10-7.
3. Kansas City Chiefs, 3-0
While Kansas City has 'only' beaten the Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins the past few weeks, the way this team has played this year is worth talking about, as QB Patrick Mahomes has put any chatter about his season-ending knee injury behind him.
He's simply healed and back to his old self despite it being something that he recovered rather quickly from. The Chiefs might not have the personnel to make a deep playoff run, but they have already reached half of their win total from the 2025 season.
2. San Francisco 49ers, 3-0
San Francisco keeps winning despite losing players to injuries. The list of players hurt is honestly too long to list, but it's something that not only happened last year, but has also continued into this year and has remained with the team for quite some time now.
The 49ers are 3-0 on the season and are in the driver's seat in the NFC West, as the Los Angeles Rams are now 1-2, and the Seattle Seahawks lost a stinker to the Washington Commanders. The 49ers are getting elite QB play from Brock Purdy, as well.
1. Las Vegas Raiders, 3-0
Did anyone seriously have the Las Vegas Raiders looking this good on their Bingo card? Kirk Cousins is playing excellent football, and the Raiders just look and feel like a different team. They're well-coached and are checking most, if not all of the boxes week to week.
While the team's ceiling can be reasonably debated, starting 3-0 is just flat-out impressive. It might not last, but for the time being, the Raiders are the most encouraging team in the sport.
