4. Houston Texans
Maybe I am just a hair too high on the Houston Texans, but this is a team that could be playing in February. Already sporting a top-5 roster in the NFL heading into the offseason, the Texans shored up the offensive line with two reliable veterans in Wyatt Teller and Braden Smith.
The team swung a trade for running back David Montgomery as well, and based on what he’s done in his career, he’ll carry over his solid production for a bit for the Texans. Even on defense, Houston found a way to improve with Reed Blankenship in the secondary, and both Kayden McDonald and Jadeveon Clowney along the defensive line.
All in all, the Texans managed to make their already elite roster better. This is also a huge year for CJ Stroud, whose passer rating has hovered around 90 since the start of the 2024 season. Stroud simply hasn’t been good enough to take this team deep into the playoffs, but he has appeared in the Divisional Round in all three years of his career.
The Texans have it all out there, and if Stroud can elevate his game to a top-12 caliber player, they’ll hoist the Lombardi this year.
3. Seattle Seahawks
Speaking of winning the Super Bowl, the Seattle Seahawks just did that and come in at No. 3 in our power rankings. Seattle lost notable players in Kenneth Walker III and Riq Woolen in free agency, and may have to work around the dreaded Super Bowl hangover, which is a thing.
With how well-built this roster is, though, I’d not be shocked if Seattle again won double-digit games and appeared in the playoffs, but teams that win the Super Bowl aren’t at all guaranteed a similar amount of success in the following season.
I’d still put the Seahawks right near the top of the league with the best, as they aren’t missing much roster-wise and have a flat-out elite coaching staff.
