22. Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts were quite the team in 2025. After an insane 7-1 start, it truly felt like the Colts were going to be a juggernaut. However, the team won just one more game the rest of the way and finished with eight wins.
It's quite hard to envision a team collapsing that much, but during that collapse, QB Daniel Jones wasn't playing too well, and then he suffered a torn Achilles. It now feels like Jones has to re-prove himself in 2026, which isn't ideal.
On offense, the unit should still be efficient, as most of the same pieces are back, and the offensive line is great, but the defense wasn't anything special last year and does appear to be weak right in the middle. The NFL is also a 'what have you done for me lately' league, and seeing the Colts go 1-8 across their final eight games in 2025 does make us wonder if this team can be any good in 2026.
21. Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders got within one game of the Super Bowl in the 2024 season but did a total 180 in 2025 and went just 5-12. It was quite the regression, and now, the Commanders, like the Colts, need to re-prove themselves again.
It's also less than ideal that QB Jayden Daniels played in just seven games last year. He is a thinner player and can run, so he becomes a bit more vulnerable to hits, which is unfortunately what we saw last year.
With that said, the roster got a lot better in free agency, and Daniels was on the field for every game in his rookie season, so there really isn't anything stopping Washington from getting back into the playoffs, but this is going to be a very heavy lift, as they won just five games last year.
