Two of the three remaining undefeated teams in the NFL are in the NFC, but, every single 4-1 team in the league is in the AFC.
The NFC does seem a bit top-heavy, but also wide open at the same time, as you could argue that both undefeated teams have some notable issues that need to be corrected in the coming weeks. This is all to say that nothing would shock me in the NFC this year.
As we have done each week thus far, let's dive into our updated conference power rankings, looking at the NFC here.
NFC's undefeated squads headline the top teams in the latest rankings
16. Arizona Cardinals (1-4)
The Arizona Cardinals were supposed to be bad this year, and they are. I am not sure how much longer this team plans on starting Jacoby Brissett, as it's not going to accomplish anything, so, if nothing else, seeing rookie quarterback Carson Beck could at least give this franchise a glimmer of hope.
The Cardinals struggle on both sides of the ball and might also be approaching a unique situation where the front office is shaken up, but the head coach remains. Arizona lands at the last spot in our NFC power rankings.
15. Washington Commanders (1-3-1)
The Washington Commanders are almost inexcusably bad this year. I think a lot of us got second-hand embarrassment by watching the final play of their Week 5 tie against the New York Giants. At this point, you wonder when this team is going to make one of those in-season head coach firings, as that's the vibe you get with this squad right now.
After a 5-12 season in 2025, this team might be lucky to win five games again this year. The roster is flawed, and the coaching is flat-out atrocious across the board.
