6. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
Jared Goff cracks our top-10 ranking and comes in at No. 6. Goff is a lot similar to Prescott - both entered the NFL in the 2016 draft and have been high-end passers for much of their careers. Goff has thrown no fewer than 29 touchdown passes in each of the last four seasons and has helped the Detroit Lions turn into a formidable franchise.
While Goff doesn't offer much as anything as a runner, that also isn's the first job of a QB. He's not making the highlight-reel plays like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are, but Goff's passing production is so good that he'll likely end his NFL career very high in categories like passing yards and touchdowns.
5. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
How Patrick Mahomes plays coming off a major knee injury in 2026 is absolutely something to follow this year. The passing production hasn't been great these past few seasons, and we have seen the Kansas City Chiefs get blown out in the Super Bowl and follow that up with a 6-win season. This is clearly a transitional period for the franchise.
Mahomes is now in his 30s and may have to reinvent himself as more of a pocket passer, which he can absolutely do. For now, though, he's being ranked No. 5, as the injury is something that needs mentioned until he puts that behind him, and his production just hasn't been that good.
4. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Jackson is the best dual-threat QB of all-time but does have injury concerns due to his style of play. With that said, I am not sure many out there think Jackson isn't a top QB in this league. He's a two-time MVP who probably should have won the award for a third time in the 2024 season.
The Baltimore Ravens have also turned into one of the top juggernauts in this league, and during any given week, Jackson can be a top player in the NFL.
