26. New Orleans Saints (3-7)

How about the New Orleans Saints, I guess?  In their first game after firing Dennis Allen, they beat the NFC South-rival Atlanta Falcons.  Now yes, the Saints are not going to make the playoffs this season, but I guess you still have to take the win even in a lost year.

Derek Carr played well, and he’s got this weird trend where he’ll play out of his mind for a few weeks and then put a few stinkers out on the field.  The Saints, for years now, have needed to rip this thing down to the studs and rebuild, and them trading CB Marshon Lattimore to the Washington Commanders seemed to indicate that they were open to that route.

I would not be shocked if the Saints were aggressive this coming offseason in shedding more veteran contracts.  It’s not clear if General Manager Mickey Loomis is going to be in the equation, but he probably should not if you ask me.  The Saints are 26th in our latest NFL power rankings

25. Miami Dolphins (2-6)

The Miami Dolphins face off against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football to cap-off our Week 10 action.  The Dolphins again lost QB Tua Tagovailoa to an injury, so that’s been the main thing they’ve dealt with this season.  It is interesting that the Dolphins extended their QB, as he has simply been unable to consistently stay healthy.

The Dolphins need to rebuild their trenches this coming offseason in hopes that they can play with that edge and toughness they’re missing.  That could be a winning formula, as the team has proven that they can win a ton of games with Tua Tagovailoa as their QB.

The Miami Dolphins are 25th in our latest power rankings and may end up dropping lower next week, as the LA Rams are likely beating them on MNF later today.
