2. Philadelphia Eagles (11-2)

The Philadelphia Eagles have now won nine games in a row and somehow do not have the longest winning streak in the NFL, let alone their own conference.  The Carolina Panthers did give them fits in Week 14, but the Eagles are a good team and just find ways to win at this point.  This latest win gives them 11 on the season and still puts them one game behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC.

The Eagles probably need to secure the no. 1 seed in the NFC if they want to get back to the Super Bowl, a place they were in 2022, but this has been a nice stretch for the team since starting 2-2 through four games to open up the 2024 NFL Season.

1. Detroit Lions (12-1)

How about the Detroit Lions?  Despite all of their injuries on defense and just the grueling nature of the NFL season, the team keeps finding ways to win.  They’ve now won 11 games in a row, which is obviously the longest streak in the NFL.  It feels like it’s only a matter of time before we see the Lions in the Super Bowl this season.

The only other team in the NFC who could potentially dethrone the Lions season is the Philadelphia Eagles, but it does almost feel like this Lions team is a team of destiny.  They move to 12-1 on the season and now have a very good shot at winning the NFC North.  Since they have swept the Green Bay Packers, the only way the Packers could pass them in the standing is if GB finishes 13-4 and the Lions finish 12-5, which likely isn’t happening.
