7. Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh looked pretty shaky the first two weeks before bouncing back and showing some promise in Week 3. I struggle to see where this team is going to create an advantage week to week, as the roster is rather average, but beating the Bengals at home was quite the win and at least, for the time being, gives this team something to build on.
6. Chicago Bears
Chicago beating Philly with Case Keenum at QB was something to watch. The Bears just feel like a very good team and one of the more well-coached clubs in the league, and what might be even better here is that the defense played their tails off.
We all know this offense can be electric, and if that defense can shape up in the coming weeks, the Bears aren't going to have a flaw.
5. Detroit Lions
Speaking of shaky defenses, the Detroit Lions still come in at No. 5 in our power rankings, but it's thanks to the awesome offense this team currently has. They've scored 31 points in all three games this year and have honestly needed every single point.
The defense is missing multiple starters in the secondary, so I guess it's predictably been a bad unit. The Lions have not allowed fewer than 24 points this year, so they may have to get used to being in shootouts, but they have the offense to do so.
4. Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore kicked a game-winning field goal in Brazil to beat Dallas in Week 3. Now 2-1 on the year, the Ravens should continue remaining above .500 with how talented this team is. We saw the Ravens endure a ton of injuries early in the season, which ended up throwing the entire year off.
As long as that does not happen, Baltimore should be a shoo-in to win 10+ games.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville has two blowout wins and a one-score loss on their schedule, so this team is very good and should again win the AFC South this year. Trevor Lawrence has largely played out of his mind since about midway through the 2025 season. What the Jaguars are doing right now is 100 percent sustainable.
2. Seattle Seahawks
A shaky loss in Sam Darnold's return to the lineup definitely caught a lot of us off guard. The 2-1 Settle Seahawks come in at No. 2 in our power rankings. They're still a very good team and were 2-1 last year, so this isn't any sort of unusual start - it just so happened that they lost a close game in Week 3.
1. Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos got blown out by Kansas City in Week 1, but returned home in Weeks 2 and 3 and beat Jacksonville and the Los Angeles Rams. Those are two excellent teams, and, in typical Broncos fashion, they won each by one score.
The Broncos might simply be repeating their 2025 season this year. The late-game heroics did work last year as well. Given the quality of wins, Denver tops our power rankings.
