There have been some awesome non-quarterback performances this year, but it does feel like we could be seeing another QB take the MVP award. Yes, it's still early, but QBs continue to dominate this league.

With Week 6 now in the books and Week 7 already in view, we're approaching the NFL Trade Deadline and the middle of the season, When November rolls around, the playoff picture will begin to heat up even more.

And the teams that top the playoff pictures in both conferences are surely going to have some MVP candidates. Let's dive into our latest MVP power rankings here.

Updated MVP Power Rankings as Week 7 rapidly approaches

10. Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

The story with Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals has been a 'thing' for years now. Burrow, when on the field, is among the best players in the league. However, he has struggled with availability.

On the other side of the ball, the Bengals horrid defense in recent years has derailed certain seasons. This year, we did see Cincy go out and make a big splash to revamp the defense, and the returns have been solid thus far.

The Bengals were on the bye this past week. Sitting at 3-2, this team would probably need to win the AFC North for Burrow to have a shot at the MVP, but he does have 11 touchdown passes and a 104.4 passer rating in his first five games.

He has multiple touchdown passes in three games and another three games with zero interceptions. With as good of a passer as Burrow has been, he really won't break a sweat to become a legitimate MVP if the team success comes.

9. CJ Stroud, QB, Houston Texans

Despite being 2-4, the Houston Texans have won two in a row and feel like a team on the cusp of surging. Quarterback CJ Stroud has also played excellent football this year and seems to be playing his way into a contract extension.

Stroud has nine touchdowns against just one interception this year. His first pick came in Week 6, but it was still a victor over Jacksonville. Stroud also already has 1,714 yards and three separate games with at least 300 passing yards.

The longer the Texans wait to get a deal done, the more expensive he'll be. While they still have some work to do record-wise, you can definitely see the foundation being laid for a potential MVP run.
