4. Kenneth Walker III, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Kenneth Walker III's season low in yards was 70 on September 27th against the Miami Dolphins. He's rushed for at least 117 yards in every game this year and already has 665 yards and six touchdowns this year. It's been just five games.
Walker unsurprisingly leads the NFL in rushing yards, longest rush, yards per attempt, and yards per game. Currently, he is on pace for 2,261 yards, which would break the single-season rushing yardage record.
He has also added another 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns, so he's totaled 760 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns this year. In 2025, he had 1,309 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns in 17 games.
Already at 120 touches, Walker is on pace for 408 this year. He's never had more than 255 in a season, so the primary concern with his workload is 100 percent valid.
But as of now, Walker has perhaps inarguably been the best overall player in the league this year and should absolutely be near the top of the MVP race.
3. Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars
With 14 touchdown passes through six games and a 106.2 passer rating, Trevor Lawrence is right back in the mix for the MVP this year. He was an official MVP candidate last year, and 2025 didn't really see him play that well until the final month and a half.
Lawrence has played well all year and has just one game this year with a passer rating below 95.1. He has also tossed at least three touchdown passes in three games, and already has two games with four touchdown passes. We're now at the point where it's time to lump Lawrence in the conversations with the QBs that have been among the best for years now.
For reference, over his last 12 games, the Jaguars are 10-2, and Lawrence has 29 touchdown passes against just five interceptions, which averages out to 41 touchdown passes and seven interceptions over a 17-game season.
He'ss added another four rushing touchdowns during that span, too. There is a non-zero chance that Lawrence ends up winning the MVP this year. For now, he's No. 3 in our power rankings, as there are two other players that stick out above the rest.
