We have officially turned yet another page in the 2026 NFL season with Week 6 almost completely in the books.
And we've had many more intriguing quarterback developments around the league.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams returned to the starting lineup, and absolutely hit the ground running. Jordan Love continues to play outstanding football while both Bo Nix and Dak Prescott find themselves falling and struggling.
We've got more debuts to unpack, a JJ McCarthy 4th quarter for the ages, and plenty from the top stars in the league to unpack in this week's QB Power Rankings after a loaded week of action in Week 6.
Week 7 NFL QB Power Rankings: Biggest risers and fallers after Week 6
32. Tanner McKee, Philadelphia Eagles
Last week: DNP
Well, you’ve got to start somewhere, and Tanner McKee is only just now making his debut on these NFL QB Power Rankings. He’s got a chance to climb.
Based on some of the throws we saw him make against the Panthers, he just might.
Obviously, Jalen Hurts was not playing well at all this season, but the foremost concern right now is his health as he’s reportedly dealing with a superficial blood clot in his calf. Those are obviously a serious deal, and he’s been placed on IR for the next handful of weeks.
It’s an opportunity for McKee to show what he can do in Sean Mannion’s offense, and he actually had the Eagles close in the 4th quarter before the Panthers pulled away.
31. Malik Willis, Miami Dolphins
Last week: 30th
Malik Willis was on a bye week in Week 6***
Even though Malik Willis and the Miami Dolphins didn’t play in Week 6, he’s unfortunately dropping a spot due to a player making his debut on this list and Cam Ward playing a solid game in the Titans’ first win of the season.
Tough luck.
But dropping down this list doesn’t really change anything at all about what we’ve seen from Willis so far this season. He hasn’t played at a level to which you would say the Dolphins can build around him beyond this year, which was obviously the audition he was getting.
It’s only been five games, so there is still time to turn it around, but right now, Willis is looking like a bridge player to whoever the Dolphins take in the 2027 NFL Draft (Drew Mestemaker in focus in our newest 1st-round mock draft).
