Twenty-five percent of the NFL teams thus far own a 4-2 record. This 4-2 record sees both legitimate juggernauts and borderline playoff teams, which also makes this record so fascinating. Week 7 of the 2026 NFL Season is already approaching, so there is no better time than now to take a deeper look at the league hierarchy.

With every team having won at least one game, and there only being three unbeaten teams left, and just one team with one loss, it truly isn't cliche to say that the league is wide open this year. As the middle of the season approaches, it'll be quite interesting to see how everything shakes out.

Let's take another league-wide view with our power rankings, but simplify it a bit and rank all eight 4-2 teams.

Power-ranking every 4-2 team as Week 7 rapidly approaches

8. Pittsburgh Steelers

I guess I just do not see it with the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. The more things change with this team, the more they stay the same. The major change this offseason was bringing in Mike McCarthy to replace Mike Tomlin, but we're seeing almost the exact same type of performance from the Steelers this year.

They barely got by the now 1-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and needed overtime to do it. The team doesn't really do anything particularly well, and the quarterback play is nothing to hype up. All in all, the Steelers are again firmly in that 9-8, 10-7 tier, and that clearly continues to be the standard.

7. Green Bay Packers

You might wonder why I have the Green Bay Packers so low, but I just canoot bring myself to look at this team as a top contender with the amount of injuries they are going through. Especially with how deep the NFC North is, the Packers might struggle to get out of that Wild Card tier, and while both sides of the ball are playing well, we could see the injuries catch up to them later in the season. I am just wanting to be a bit cautious with the Packers right now.
