3. Pittsburgh Steelers forced fumbles record
It was almost a trifecta for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris, France last Sunday, with the franchise being part of the first game in the history of the city and Aaron Rodgers passing Peyton Manning for third in passing touchdowns. All that was missing was T.J. Watt recording a forced fumble, and it would have been one of the most historic outings in the history of the Steelers franchise. Well, for a moment, Watt did force a fumble, breaking his tie at 37 with George Lloyd in that category, and putting his name in the record books for the organization again.
However, the referees decided to overturn the ruling on the field of a fumble by New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough, even though the ball was moving and everyone on the commentary team was left baffled. The good news for Watt is that there is plenty more football to play, and his assignment this week is the Cleveland Browns. As a reminder, Watt forced his first fumble of the season against this very team back in Week 4.
2. Von Miller moves up the top-10 sacks list
Another historic moment that was incredibly close to getting broken in Week 7 was Von Miller moving up the top-10 sacks list. Near the end of the Monday Night Football game, the veteran pass rusher had Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee in his sights as the passer began to scramble. Miller would bring him down, in what was ruled a gain of mere inches for the Eagles on the play.
Thus, Miller did not record a sack. Therefore, we are in the same position we have been in with him all season, with the tie with Dallas Cowboys legend DeMarcus Ware at 138.5 sacks for ninth place in league history. Additionally, Miller can move as high as seventh with one-and-a-half sacks against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
1. Derrick Henry moves up the top-10 rushing yards list
For the first time since Week 3 this season, Derrick Henry finds himself on the power rankings. The most historic running back of this current era finds himself at ninth on the all-time rushing yards leaderboard, just 66 yards away from Jerome Bettis. Not only that, but with 88 yards against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Henry could pass LaDainian Tomlinson for the seventh-most rushing yards in the history of the NFL.
