Well, folks, Week 8 was fun. There was a lot of sloppy football, but there were also some thrilling finishes. With Week 8 about finished up, we've essentially ended the first half of the season. With the de-facto second half of the season beginning in Week 9, we're going to see the playoff races really heat up.

As we have done each week thus far, we have our latest league-wide power rankings. The NFL hierarchy has certainly shaped up a good bit as well, and we are beginning to see a clear divide at this point.

Let's dive into our latest league-wide power rankings, always ranking teams based on the 2026 season alone, while also putting a bit more emphasis on the current week.

NFL Power Rankings: Broncos rise, Cowboys crater as Week 8 comes to an end

32. Los Angeles Chargers (0-7)

Still the lone winless team in the sport, the Los Angeles Chargers dropped to 0-7 with a loss against their fellow Los Angeles team. The Chargers looked like this after the bye, which is very, very concerning, but I guess this game did not go any differently than what we expected.

Justin Herbert tossed another two interceptions, and this 15-point loss to the Rams really just further confirms how badly this team needs to make some changes. The Chargers come in at No. 32, dead last, in our power rankings.

31. Miami Dolphins (1-6)

The Miami Dolphins appear to be a frisky-ish team. Miami had a 13-3 lead at halftime over New England, but the Patriots scored 21 points in the second half to come out victorious. If nothing else, the Dolphins, a team with the worst roster in the NFL, are showing a lot of fight under first-year head coach Jeff Hafley.

There has to be some form of optimism with this team given how tough they play and given how tough of an out they can be. The Dolphins will continue to rank low in our power rankings, as that’s simply the nature of the situation they are in, but all in all, if a 1-6 record was ever misleading, this one is.

Hang in there, Dolphins fans; things are going to get better.
