The month of September has come to a close in the NFL, as Week 3's Monday Night Football showdown officially brought us to the end of the first month of the season. With October and November here and approaching, the main chunk of the season is when things really begin to ramp up and when the stakes get higher and higher.

In both conferences, there are obvious, legitimate Super Bowl contenders, but there is also still a rather large 'middle class' as well. With Week 4 on the horizon, we'll continue taking a deep dive into the league hierarchy, not only across the league, but in each conference as well.

Let's power-rank the AFC as Week 4 comes into view. We're ranking the teams based on how they have looked thus far and who they have beaten.

Patriots, Chargers, highlight disappointing teams in latest AFC Power Rankings

16. Miami Dolphins, 0-3

The Miami Dolphins were always going to be bad this year, so it's not a shock that they are... bad.

The Dolphins lost stud running back De'Von Achane to a torn ACL in Week 3, so their best player is now out for the year, which could make this operation even worse.

The long-term could bring some optimism if the front office is able to hit on some draft picks and get the quarterback position right, but as of now, this is about as bad as you'll see an NFL team get.

15. Tennessee Titans, 0-3

The Tennessee Titans aren't far behind. Cam Ward and the offense look rather abysmal, and there just isn't enough roster talent here for the team to make ant sizeable progress in the conference. The Titans really need to begin putting some more encouraging performances together to at least show signs of what could be to come in 2027 and beyond. It's pretty ugly right now.
