The NFL trade deadline is rapidly approaching (November 10), and a handful of big names could be available for the right price.

The Philadelphia Eagles won't have Jalen Hurts for the rest of the 2026 season, and while they may not be punting on the year entirely, it wouldn't be shocking to see them trade away some players for future draft picks.

Would they actually entertain the idea of trading star running back Saquon Barkley? Barkley has missed some time this season due to a hamstring injury, but as he works his way back, he could be a coveted player by teams looking for running back help at the deadline.

Who might have the most interest in Barkley? Who needs him the most?

3 teams that need Saquon Barkley at the 2026 NFL trade deadline

1. Houston Texans

Out of 111 qualifying running backs this season, Houston Texans running back David Montgomery ranks 108th with a total EPA of -18.69.

The Texans' running game has been abysmal.

Considering how well CJ Stroud has played this season, it would make a lot of sense for the Texans to try and get some balance for their offense. Even if the plan is to get Woody Marks more involved as the season goes along, a dynamic weapon like Barkley would make a lot of sense for a team like the Texans, one that obviously wants to contend this season.

The Texans have already made one trade this season for Marvin Harrison Jr. with the Cardinals, so their draft capital is a bit depleted. But they could still find a way to make it happen.

2. Cincinnati Bengals

Chase Brown has been an underrated back over the past couple of years for the Bengals, but he's not playing well enough this season to justify the Bengals staying out of any Saquon Barkley sweepstakes.

He ranks 97th/108 in total EPA this season (-12.12) at the running back position, and ranks 25th/34 backs with 50 or more carries with just 246 rushing yards so far this season. His 3.46 yards per carry rank 28th. His 174 yards after contact also ranks 28th.

The Bengals need help at the running back position, and imagine adding Saquon Barkley to that group they already have at the skill positions...

3. Minnesota Vikings

Once again, the Vikings have a starting running back who ranks near the bottom of this position group in total EPA this season (-16.04) -- 28th/34 backs with 50 or more carries.

Jones has been playing through some pain this season, but he's also a 31-year-old running back, so he's on borrowed time at that position.

Jordan Mason is dealing with an injury (fractured thumb suffered in Week 1), so this is a sleeper team at 5-0 heading into Week 7 that could be aggressive at the NFL trade deadline. Adding a player like Saquon Barkley could give the Vikings another dynamic weapon to take even more pressure off quarterback Kyler Murray.
