27. Kansas City Chiefs (from Cardinals): Ennis Rakestraw, CB, Missouri

L'Jarius Sneed to Cardinals trade

The Kansas City Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill a couple of years ago, so the idea of trading L’Jarius Sneed shortly after giving him the franchise tag is certainly on the table.

I think the Arizona Cardinals are the ideal team to trade for Sneed given the lack of top-tier corners in this class and the fact that there’s not really a better way to utilize this 27th overall pick from their vantage point. For Kansas City, having the rookie contract is going to be valuable, and you would have to continue to trust your outstanding development in the secondary.

Chiefs fans who are also fans of the Missouri program would be elated to see Ennis Rakestraw join the Super Bowl champs.

28. Buffalo Bills: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

There are some injury risks to consider with Laiatu Latu, who has been routinely projected as a top-20 pick in most 2024 NFL mock draft scenarios. The Buffalo Bills undoubtedly need to upgrade their pass rush since the Von Miller investment hasn’t paid off and AJ Epenesa is hitting free agency in 2024.

Latu could come in and make a massive impact for the Bills right away off the edge.

Given their situation at receiver with Gabe Davis hitting free agency, that’s a popular pick late in round one for Buffalo, but this is much better value.
