Another week is in the books for the 2026 NFL season. It feels like it is going by quickly this year, as the sun sets on Week 2. However, we must take a look back at what the injury bug brought to the NFL this week before we move on to Week 3.

The injury bug is quite the annoying beast, and it does not like leaving teams unaccounted for. In Week 2, it feels like there was an abundance of high-impact players who were injured for almost every team. As always, not all injuries are the same, and not all of them are always serious.

That said, there were some ailments that looked downright horrifying around the league in Week 2 of the season. Here we look back at some of the most impactful injuries and some updates on them (if there are any). Let us dive right into the power rankings.

Ranking the most impactful injuries heading into Week 2

10. DJ Moore

On Thursday Night Football this week, Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore sustained a shoulder injury relatively early on in the game. If you played him in fantasy football, you were likely annoyed because just about every other main player in that game produced an exorbitant amount of fantasy points, probably leading you to look for a high-upside player in fantasy football this past week. Alas, there is an encouraging update on the top receiver in Buffalo.

The team is considering Moore day-to-day with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder. It could have been a lot worse, considering how hard he hit the ground while trying to make a play for a touchdown. While Moore could miss some time, day-to-day is vastly better than being week-to-week and, if he does miss time, it will likely be one game given his current status.
