It's officially separation season in the NFL. Entering Week 8 action, there are so many huge matchups around the league, and teams that have been down so far this season have at least one more chance to get back in the fight.

It's going to be a really exciting week of football, and we're here for some bold predictions.

It's impossible to truly guarantee anything in the NFL, but we're calling our shot on a trio of games in Week 8. We've already looked at some teams that are guaranteed to lose in Week 8, but which teams are we going to say are guaranteed to win? Let's get into the picks.

Week 8 NFL predictions: 3 teams all but guaranteed to win

1. Washington Commanders (vs. Eagles)

The Washington Commanders are 1-4-1 this season after losing to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football in Week 6.

As much of a mismatch as that game was, the Commanders made it tight in the end and nearly completed a full comeback after being down 23-3 in the 3rd quarter. Still, they couldn't find a way to get it done, and the Commanders have been a letdown for most of this season.

But they're going to beat the Eagles in Week 8.

Out of respect for Jayden Daniels, there is simply no way the Commanders are taking their 5th loss of the season already.

All kidding aside, the Commanders are catching the Eagles at a great time. Not only are the Commanders coming off their bye, but the Eagles are playing short-handed and on a short week. Even though Washington has been banged up this season as well, I think they come out of the bye with a win and start creeping back into the NFC East race a little bit.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. Browns)

I haven't been overly nice to the Pittsburgh Steelers this year, so I'm going to take a moment to do so.

You guys better not let me down...

The Steelers are 5-2 after winning a low-scoring matchup against the New Orleans Saints over in France last week while many were still sleeping. Even if the Steelers have been winning "ugly", the fact of the matter is, they are 5-2 this season. They're finding a variety of ways to win.

They are also 3-0 at home so far this season, and this is already the second time they have played the Browns in 2026. I don't see Pittsburgh losing to Cleveland twice, and I think they're going to come through at home.

The last time the Steelers got swept in the regular season by the Browns was in 1988.

3. New England Patriots (@ Dolphins)

The Miami Dolphins are coming off their first victory of the season, riding high, and feeling like they have something to build on.

The Patriots are coming off a mini bye after losing a tough one to the Chicago Bears on Thursday night last week.

This is a typical instance in which the Patriots are simply going to overmatch the Miami Dolphins. We have seen New England completely dominate lesser opponents over the last couple of seasons, which is what good teams are supposed to do.

Even though the Dolphins have played well for rookie head coach Jeff Hafley, winning back-to-back games feels like an impossible task. The Patriots are only favored by 7, but I think they're going to win regardless of the final score.
