Get your popcorn ready, because Week 8 of the NFL season is going to be one of the best we’ve had all year.

Even though we all love football no matter what, and get treated to great matchups every single week, this week truly has everything. We’ve got potential future playoff matchups, division rivalries, teams on upset alert, teams already fighting for their playoff lives, and some of the best play-caller duels of the season (hello, Ben Johnson vs. Mike Macdonald).

From start to finish, this week of football is going to have us all absolutely glued to our TV. We’re going to do our best to predict the winners in every game, as well as break down some of the interesting matchups within each game.

Let’s get into our Week 8 NFL picks and score predictions for every game on the schedule.

NFL Picks and score predictions for every game in Week 8

Teams on a bye: Saints (2-5), Giants (4-2-1), 49ers (6-1), Texans (2-5)

Carolina Panthers (3-3) @ Green Bay Packers (4-3)

Thursday, October 29, 8:15 PM ET

Week 8 kicks off with a really intriguing matchup between two of the most inconsistent teams in the NFC so far this season.

Do either the Packers or the Panthers know who or what they want to be this season?

Both of these teams have quarterbacks capable of filling up the stat sheet, and both Bryce Young and Jordan Love have done that plenty this season. But then you’ll see duds like we saw on Sunday from the Panthers in a home game against the Bucs, or the Packers on the road against the Lions.

Again, these teams struggle with consistency, which is why they’re both at or hovering around .500 so far this season.

For the Panthers, it’s going to be tough to go into Green Bay on a short week and get the upper hand on a Packers team that will absolutely give them fits through the air with all of their weapons. What level of confidence are we supposed to have in this Carolina defense right now, especially on a short week?

This game is going to come down to which team can run the ball better, and while we’ve seen the Packers struggle badly in that area this season, the Panthers rank dead last in the NFL this season in rushing yards allowed and yards per carry allowed (5.2).

After getting his first game action of the season, maybe we’ll see a breakthrough from Josh Jacobs here in Week 8. That’s what I’m thinking will be the biggest difference for the Packers (who are favored by 3.5) on a short week.

Prediction: Packers win 31-23
