The New York Giants host the Washington Redskins at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

If the Washington Redskins expect to compete in the NFC East, they must defeat the New York Giants this week. Obviously it is still early, but I have a hard time believing that the 0-2 Redskins can chase down the 2-0 Giants if they lose to them in Week 3.

The Giants look like an extremely strong team through the first two weeks. We know that Eli Manning, Odell Beckham and the Giants’ offense can be explosive, but their defensive unit has been great as well. New York spent a lot of money on their defense this off season, most notably adding Olivier VernonJanoris Jenkins, and Damon Harrison. These three players have made a massive difference on the Giants’ defense this season.

The Redskins’ offense certainly has their work cut out for them this week. Kirk Cousins simply does not look like the same guy this season. He is constantly missing open receivers and forcing the ball into traffic. There are times where he does not seem to see linebackers who are playing in plain sight. Cousins appears easy to fool this season, and the Giants’ defense could have a field day with him.

That being said, he has a chance to turn his season around. In this specific game, I think Cousins and the Redskins would be wise to lean on tight end Jordan Reed. Reed is one of the most talented players at his position in the NFL and the Giants’ linebackers struggle in coverage. If Cousins plays well on Sunday, I’d bet that Reed is a major part of that.

Manning and the Giants’ offense are also playing well. Beckham is obviously a stud, Victor Cruz is having a huge bounce-back season and rookie Sterling Shepard is for real. This receiving corps is about as good as it gets in the NFL.

The Redskins’ secondary is supposed to be improved this season. Josh Norman was brought in to be a difference maker for this team. However, they have struggled at defending the pass this season. The Redskins will likely look to match Norman up with Beckham. However, the Giants seem to want to play their star receiver more out of the slot. I am sure we will see fireworks between Norman and Beckham on Sunday, but I doubt that Norman comes inside to defend Beckham in the slot.
