Details on the domestic abuse from Arizona Cardinals RB Jonathan Dwyer have been released by the Arizona Police (AZ Central). The story says that Dwyer broke his wife’s nose after he headbutted her in the face. It was his reaction after she bit his lip to stop his unwanted sexual advances. The reported event happened in July.

She called the police and after they left, Dwyer’s wife took off and tried to run away. She returned after Dwyer sent her a text message saying that he didn’t want to live anymore and also sent a picture of a knife.
She returned and authorities say that Dwyer punched his wife in the face the next day when they had another argument. Dwyer also punched walls before picking up a shoe and throwing it at their son.
The Cardinals have deactivated him off of the roster and may be sitting at home for some time. The league is facing a ton of criticism with the recent Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson stories and players are facing tough disciplinary actions.
