Larry Fitzgerald, Austin Seferian-Jenkins Injury Updates
Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain after catching two passes for 33 yards in the team’s Week 11 win over the Detroit Lions, and he was unable to play against the tough Seattle Seahawks last week. The Cardinals offense struggled badly without their best receiver, as Michael Floyd was taken out of the game by the Seahawks elite secondary, as only John Brown proved to be a threat to the “Legion of Boom” with Floyd swarmed out of the proceedings.

Fitzgerald could very well end up missing this week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, and he sounds like a likely game-time decision. According to ESPN NFL Nation’s Josh Weinfuss, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians stated that Fitzgerald is “making some progress” but will not practice today. We probably won’t know Fitzgerald’s status until Sunday, but Friday’s practice session will give us a good idea about his chances of playing.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins suffered a back injury against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, but he has improved since then. After missing yesterday’s informal practice session, Seferian-Jenkins is back on the field today, per the Tampa Bay Times’s Greg Auman. This puts ASJ on track to play against the Cincinnati Bengals this week, and it seems like only a setback could bounce him out of the Week 13 contest.
