Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Bush will be game-time decisions
Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald thought he would be able to play in last week’s game against the rival Seattle Seahawks, but he was unsurprisingly ruled inactive with a Grade 2 MCL sprain that he suffered the prior week in a win over the Detroit Lions. Fitzgerald is optimistic that he can play on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, but his status is far from a guarantee despite the fact that he was able to get a limited practice session in.

According to Cardinals official site beat writer Darren Urban, Fitzgerald, per head coach Bruce Arians, has “progressed nicely” but will be a game-time decision. At this point, he looks like a true toss-up, but I would tentatively expect the tough veteran receiver to suit up. That said, the Cardinals aren’t going to roll him out there if they don’t feel confident in his health, because Arians stated that if he plays, Fitzgerald will not be used in a limited role.
Another skill position player on the Cardinals is set to be a game-time decision, as FOX Sports 910’s Mike Jurecki tweets that Arians stated that newly signed running back Michael Bush will be a game-time call. The Cardinals don’t seem to be sure if he knows the offense well enough to be active, so this is a situation that needs to be monitored closely. A combination of poor offensive line play and injuries have hurt Andre Ellington’s efficiency, so adding a strong back like Bush to partner up with Ellington could prove to be a key boost for this offense.
