1. The Giants will have another solid draft

After drafting what is considered by some to be the best draft class in New York Giants history, Jerry Reese has had some duds. 2008-2012 have seen a number of busts come and go. Recently, Reese has turned it around, and he has put together two very solid draft classes.

2013’s class has produced starting players like Justin Pugh and Johnathan Hankins, as well as contributing role players like Damontre Moore. 2014’s produced the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Odell Beckham Jr., Andre Williams, Devon Kennard and Weston Richburg.

With 2015 being a relatively deep draft class, I think Reese and company will continue the trend with another good year.

While positions such as inside linebacker, running back, safety and wide receiver are a concern, I think addressing the offensive line remains the chief concern for Big Blue. Regardless of who’s playing wide receiver, not much can happen if Eli Manning doesn’t have time to throw the ball down field.

Brandon Scherff is the guy I view as the best for the Giants at the ninth spot, but New York had proven its commitment to drafting the best player on the board. The Giants have the luxury of holding a top-10 draft pick, so finding a talented player shouldn’t be too difficult (knocks on wood).

The Giants haven’t had a pick that high since 1997 when they selected Ike Hilliard at the seventh spot. While Hilliard never quite lived up to the hype of being a top-10 pick, the ’97 draft also produced Tiki Barber, the greatest running back in Giants history.

Hopefully the Giants’ first-round pick fares better than Hilliard.
