The combination of general manager Steve Keim and head coach Bruce Arians is one that has proved to be very successful for the Arizona Cardinals. Keim has an incredible eye for talent, and has built one of the most talented and well-rounded rosters in the entire NFL. While he does not always coach in the most traditional sense, Arians is one of the best coaches in the league, and certainly has a plan for the talented roster that Keim has given him.
Between the two, the entire Cardinals’ organization is in incredible hands, and is set-up to be successful for many years to come. In fact, if they can stay healthy, the Cardinals appear primed and ready to take the step to becoming legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Last season, the Cardinals seemed well on their way to a lengthy playoff run, before injuries derailed their season. Most notably, quarterback Carson Palmer and his back-up Drew Stanton suffering season-ending injuries, forcing Ryan Lindley into play. Lindley clearly was not ready for the NFL spotlight, and he struggled mightily.
The Cardinals still limped into the playoffs because of their league-best 9-1 start, but they were quickly eliminated by the Carolina Panthers in the Wild Card round by a score of 27-16.
A season filled with so much promise was cut short because of injuries, but before they lost their top two players at the most important position in football, the Cardinals were establishing themselves as Super Bowl contenders. With Palmer rehabbing from his knee injury very nicely, and expected to make a full recovery by Training Camp, the Cardinals seem primed and ready to take that next step.
On both sides of the ball, the Cardinals have talented players who are ready to breakout and make more of an impact. On a roster filled with so much talent throughout, it will be relatively difficult for some of these players to show the most of their abilities. That being said, even if it is in a fairly limited role, having more talented players throughout a roster has never once been a bad thing.
Based on natural progression and opportunity, these five Cardinals’ players are primed for a breakout season in 2015. If all of them reach their potential, and the Cardinals finally have some luck on the injury front, this could be a team that is ready to take the next step.
