DeAngelo Williams, Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers were without suspended running back Le’Veon Bell. That didn’t seem to matter to much, as 10-year veteran DeAngelo Williams went off for over 125 rushing yards.
Williams finished with 127 yards on 21 carries and a five-yard reception.
Williams, who boasts a career average of 4.8 yards per rushing attempt, still has something left in the tank. He’s 32, but that didn’t stop him from running like he was 22.
The question is, how much longer will he have fantasy football value?
Williams’ production will be severely limited by Bell’s potential return. Bell ran for 1,361 yards and caught 83 passes for 854 yards with 11 total touchdowns in 2014.
With Bell set to miss Pittsburgh’s Week 2 battle with the San Francisco 49ers, however, Williams may be worth throwing into your lineup.
