Game plan to stop #11 … but not too much

Julio Jones is obviously a top-flight receiver.

But it’s important to keep in mind that both Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamara are good corners, and in my mind, they’re better in man coverage than Maxwell. To be frank: the Giants’ corners are going to need to play one of their best games.

It’s also important to remember that paying too much attention to Jones will hurt the defense’s chances. If they command too much attention, White and the rest of the team will feast on a Giants defense that is anything but deep.

This offense has a whole lot of firepower, and if the defense focuses too much on Jones, the rest of the unit is bound to find ample amounts of success.

Amukamara is arguably the best tackling cornerback in the league, so I’m interested to see how he plays against Atlanta’s short passes.
