New York Giants won’t be able to contain Carlos Hyde

The New York Giants need to be extremely careful in their Week 5 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers due to what running back Carlos Hyde is about to unleash.

The 49ers are a mess right now as nothing seems to work for them offensively. They’ve lost their past three games and have without question the worst offense you’ve ever seen in the NFL so far this season. They’re averaging only 12 points per game and quarterback Colin Kaepernick is pretty much fighting for his starting spot at this point of the season.

The Giants are a team that have put their season back in the right direction after an 0-2 start. They’ve won their past two games and are looking to take care of business against an abysmal 49ers team that has yet to find their identity.

This could be the game that potentially could shock everyone, especially Big Blue thanks to the fact that Hyde could be a surprise factor in tonight’s Sunday Night Football game.

When a team has issues as glaring as the 49ers do, they usually will resort to everything and anything to secure a victory to essentially save their season. It’s no secret that the losses the 49ers got this season mostly came from the terrible quarterback play of Kaepernick. But in this particular matchup, I don’t expect him to be given another opportunity to put this game on his shoulders yet again for another consecutive game.

One better believe that offensive coordinator Geep Chryst will come up with a much better game plan this time around to try and establish a potent ground game despite the Giants having one heck of a defense when it comes to stopping the run. I have no doubts in my mind that the 49ers will commit to the run and bring it to Big Blue.

With Kaepernick not being the same x-factor he once was, this is the perfect game to unleash a potent ground game established by both Hyde and Reggie Bush. It’s the only thing that really makes sense to ensure that Kaepernick doesn’t end up costing the 49ers this game and truly test the Giants’ defense to see if they can crack their armor.

Hyde has incredible speed, a high football IQ and is a power runner that isn’t afraid to plow through defenders. Bush compliments him well by being more of a hybrid running back capable of coming out of the backfield as a receiver and opening things up in that kind of rule. You put these two together and the Giants’ defense might not have any answers whatsoever for the duo attack.

Since the 49ers are expected to go all out in this matchup, it only makes sense for them to really push the envelope thanks to the efforts of Hyde on the ground and Bush through the air. If they can simplify the passing game to put Kaepernick in a position to succeed, the Giants might come into this game not really expecting a fight but may very well get quite the battle if everything is clicking on all cylinders.

I fully believe Hyde will go off in this game since think about everything for a moment. If Hyde can play like he did in his incredible Week 1 performance against the Minnesota Vikings that saw him total 168 rushing yards on 26 attempts for 2 touchdowns, it might be the catalyst to get everything else working on offense.

The Giants won’t be able to contain Hyde at all since he’s no doubt going to get many more reps in this matchup since last week against the Green Bay Packers, he only totaled 20 rushing yards on 8 attempts with 0 touchdowns. One better believe he’s going to run with purpose and execution to bounce back from his sub-par performance last week. He’s a fierce competitor and will no doubt enjoy playing a tough defense to test his attributes.

With this being the perfect game for Hyde to really push the envelope in front of a national audience, the 49ers will prove why they need a win real bad and might surprise many with a resounding win over the Giants if he is able to replicate his season-opening numbers. Keep an eye on Hyde tonight, he’s going to enjoy putting on a clinic.
