3. Jermaine Grace helped his stock with another huge game

On a team that was once depleted of any type of talented linebackers, the Falcons now have a plethora of amazing football players to choose from. Whether it’s second year players like DeVondre Campbell or Deion Jones, or rookies like Jermaine Grace and Duke Riley, Atlanta has more than enough talented defensive players heading in to the 2017 regular season.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Even though Campbell, Riley and Jones have been guys with expectations coming int o the league, it has been Jermaine Grace whose taken the preseason by storm.

Grace led the Falcons in tackles with nine total and 7 solo against Jacksonville and eight total and four solo against Arizona. That’s pretty darn impressive for a guy who didn’t play all that much in the team’s first two preseason game of 2017.

I love to see undrafted rookies come into the league and put on a show, which is exactly the case for the Falcons’ Grace — did I mention he also had an interception against her Jaguars as well?

Take a look at this quote from Dan Quinn in Kelsey Conway’s article on the Falcons’ website:

"“From way back in May to tonight, I felt a guy who was really going for it every chance,” Quinn said. “That’s really all we ask. Now that we are finally seeing him healthy again, he fits into what we do at linebacker and special teams as well. We’re excited about what we think he can develop into.”"

Needless to say, Grace has an uphill battle to climb to make the 53-man roster, but his performances over the last two weeks will give Atlanta’s coaching staff a very hard decision to make before Saturday afternoon.
