3. Khalil Mack gets 3 sacks

As a team Oakland had just one sack in Week 1 as defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. and defensive tackle Justin Ellis shared a sack on Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota. The Jets gave up just one sack as safety Jordan Poyer took McCown down on a secondary blitz.

In Week 2, something will give and the number on both sides will change. The Jets really don’t have a great offensive line, and opposite them in this game will be the 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack. The defensive end recorded three tackles against Tennessee — two of which went for a loss. He didn’t record a sack though, something he will want to remedy.

This game is the perfect opportunity for him to do just that, and the bold prediction is it won’t happen once, or twice — but three times. Mack is a monster and while McCown is a veteran and knows how to get the pass off in a hurry, there won’t be many open receivers and the line will have trouble with Mack.

He may not repeat as the defensive player of the year in 2017, but this game may make it seem like a real possibility as he is way too much for anyone on the Jets to handle.
