3. Holding Down The Fort

Aqib Talib and Chris Harris will hold down the fort and hold Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree to under 80 combined receiving yards. Denver has one of the toughest defenses in the league against the pass, and Talib and Harris are both capable or shutting down the pass catchers for the Raiders.

Since 2015, Cooper and Crabtree have averaged less than four catches and 37 yards per game against the Broncos. Look for the wide receiver duo to replicate this production this week. It’s going to be hard for them to create separation against Denver’s defense.

With Von Miller breathing down Derek Carr’s neck all game, it’s going to be hard for the wide receiver corps create separation against Denver’s top flight corners. The constant pressure could cause Carr to force some of his throws which could cause a few turnovers.

The defense has allowed just 203.33 passing yards per game this season with most of those yards being accumulated late in games during garbage time. Oakland’s offense is going to be tested this week and there’s a good chance that their offensive production will be stifled on both the run and passing games.

Bold Prediction: Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree will be held to less than 80 yards receiving
