3. 0-4

There’s nothing quite like getting fans in your new city excited about football than losing four straight to start the season. Who knows, maybe the Chargers are making it that much easier for people in Los Angeles to choose between them and the Rams. They are so kind.

All kidding aside, the fact that the Chargers are 0-4 to start the 2017 season is just plain painful, especially for the veterans like Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates. Those are the guys who’ve made a life for themselves in San Diego, only to have their lives uprooted and sent to Los Angeles over the offseason. Not to mention, they’ve lost three out of four games by three points or less. That’s about as tough as it gets.

The tough news for the Bolts is that their schedule doesn’t get any easier, as they play the Giants, Raiders, Broncos and Patriots before their bye week. Who knows, maybe a road trip to the Big Apple is exactly what the doctor ordered for this struggling football team? Either way, rookie head coach Anthony Lynn is learning that it’s even tougher to win in this league as a head coach.

Put simply, this team is far too talented to be mentioned with the likes of Browns in 49ers in terms of wins after four weeks of the season. The playoffs may be out of reach, but they can save face if they can start to turn things around now.
