3. The Saints will put heavy pressure on Matt Ryan

After a poor performance against the LA Rams, the New Orleans Saints needed a great performance against the Panthers. They delivered and were able to pressure Cam Newton for a majority of the game. While there were a few flukes including rushing touchdowns, the Saints kept Newton in the pocket and didn’t allow him much time to think.

Creating that same pressure is going to be key for stopping Matt Ryan. Against the Vikings, Ryan failed to throw for more than 200 yards and no touchdowns. Going up against the Saints, they’re going to put the pressure on, too. That’s why I predict the Saints will put and keep heavy pressure on Ryan the entire game.

It’s not going to be easy, but the Saints have proved they’re more than their injuries. When Ryan gets a chance, he takes it so the Saints need to be sure. He’ll take advantage of anything they give him. That’s why some of the core Saints D must step up.

Cameron Jordan has been racking up sacks this season and even if he doesn’t sack Ryan, he needs to get in his face. The other difference-maker for the Saints will be Ken Crawley who will likely cover Julio Jones. If he can cover Jones and Jordan can pressure Ryan, the Falcons passing game has a long day ahead of them.
